American actor, voice artist and singer Zach Callison, who stars as the titular hero of Cartoon Network hit Steven Universe, is set to make his first ever appearance at MCM Scotland when the comic con returns to SEC Glasgow this September.

If you’ve yet to check out Steven Universe, the critically-acclaimed animated series follows Steven’s adventures as the youngest of the Crystal Gems, a team of magical heroes dedicated to defending humanity. Brave, optimistic and kinda dorky, Zach’s character is a caring and friendly teenage kid who tries to avoid using violence whenever possible despite possessing powerful special abilities.

In addition to his award-winning role as Steven Universe, Zach Callison has also appeared as Prince James in Disney animation Sofia the First; King Tut in DreamWorks’ Mr. Peabody & Sherman; Chuck in Amazon’s Just Add Magic; Billy in teen sitcom I’m in the Band and Young Jiro in Hayao Miyazaki movie The Wind Rises. Los Angeles-based Callison’s other credits include The Goldbergs, NCIS: Los Angeles, iCarly, Hannah Montana  and The Legend of Korra.
