Stars from iconic British sci-fi series Doctor Who and Blake’s 7 and a certain green bounty hunter from Star Wars will be among the guests making MCM London’s Memorabilia zone their home when the pop culture festival open its doors later this month.

The Doctor’s panama hat-wearing seventh incarnation, Sylvester McCoy features in 42 episodes of classic sci-fi show from 1987-1989, as well as appearing in Doctor Who one-offs such as 2013’s Hugo-nominated The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot. Con-goers will also know McCoy as eccentric, nature-loving wizard Radagast in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy.

Jan Chappell stars in three seasons of Blake’s 7 as fan favourite Cally, a telepathic alien from the planet Auron. Exiled by her isolationist people after helping the resistance, the compassionate Cally joins Blake after a Federation biological weapons attack leaves her the sole survivor of her guerrilla force.

Sally Knyvette plays cynical space smuggler Jenna Stannis on the sci-fi show’s first two seasons. A skilled pilot and navigator, Jenna was the only female member of Blake’s original crew. Following her time aboard the Liberator, Knyvette swapped space opera for soap opera, starring as Kate Sugden in the long-running Emmerdale.

An acclaimed British stage actor, Stephen Greif appears in the first season of Blake’s 7 as Blake’s arch-enemy, Space Commander Travis. A dedicated and ruthless Federation officer, Travis’ grudge against Blake is a personal one – his eye patch and prosthetic arm (fitted with a concealed blaster!) come courtesy of a fight with the rebel leader.

Paul Blake’s Greedo may only feature briefly in Star Wars: Episode IV, but the Rodian bounty hunter’s showdown with Han Solo has gone down in cinema history. Employed by Jabba the Hutt to hunt down Harrison Ford’s charismatic smuggler, Greedo tracks his target to the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine. Did he shoot first? You’ll have to ask him!

You’re lucky, he’s lucky, I’m lucky, we’re all lucky! Best known for her role as creepy maid Magenta in campy ‘70s classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Belfast-born actor Patricia Quinn’s other credits include Doctor Who serial ‘Dragonfire’; celebrated historical drama I, Claudius; Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life and Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem.
