We’re delighted to announce that four awesome Doctor Who guests – David Bradley, Bernard Cribbins, Sixth Doctor Colin Baker and Eighth Doctor Paul McGann – will be travelling through time and space to join us at MCM London Comic Con next week.
Best known for playing Argus Filch in Harry Potter and Walder Frey in Game of Thrones, David Bradley starred as First Doctor William Hartnell in award-winning Doctor Who docudrama An Adventure in Space and Time – a portrayal that led to him being cast as the First Doctor himself in 2017 Doctor Who episodes ‘The Doctor Falls’ and ‘Twice Upon a Time’. David’s other credits include Hot Fuzz, The World’s End and Captain America: The First Avenger.
Making his Doctor Who debut in 1966 alternate continuity film Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D, national treasure Bernard Cribbins (The Wombles, Jackanory) returned four decades later as the Tenth Doctor’s companion, Wilfred Mott. Donna Noble’s granddad, Wilf first appeared in 2007 Christmas special ‘Voyage of the Damned’, with Cribbins returning as a regular in Series 4 and again for acclaimed two-parter ‘The End of Time’.
Taking over command of the Tardis from Peter Davison, Colin Baker starred as the darker sixth incarnation of the Doctor from 1984 to 1986. Instantly recognisable in his infamous technicolour coat, the Sixth Doctor returned to our screens for 1993 charity special Dimensions in Time, while Baker’s time-travelling adventures in Big Finish’s ongoing audio dramas have done much to endear the previously-controversial Time Lord to fans.
The co-star of classic black comedy Withnail & I, Paul McGann is famous among Whovians for playing the eccentric Eighth Doctor in the 1996 Doctor Who TV film. The show’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2013 saw McGann reprise the role in mini-episode ‘The Night of the Doctor’, which depicts the Eighth Doctor’s final adventure and regeneration into John Hurt’s War Doctor, and he has also appeared as the Doctor in more than 70 audio dramas.
