Don’t get nervous now, but iconic horror villains Candyman and Jason Voorhees will both be stalking the halls of MCM London Comic Con next month! We’re thrilled to announce that Candyman star Tony Todd and Friday the 13th’s Kane Hodder are joining Ray Santiago (Ash vs. Evil Dead) and Katharine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps) as guests at our October show.
We dare you to say his name five times! From Platoon and The Rock to Star Trek: The Next Generation and 24, Tony Todd has appeared in a wide range of films and TV shows – but it’s as the titular villain of the spine-chilling slasher classic Candyman and its two sequels that gorehounds will know him best. The American actor also plays Bill Bludworth in the Final Destination franchise, protagonist Ben in Tom Savini’s Night of the Living Dead, Eddie in FRANK3N5T31N and Reverend Zombie in Hatchet II.
Kane Hodder was the first person to play horror icon Jason Voorhees more than once, portraying the hockey-masked killing machine in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday and Jason X. A prolific actor and stuntman, Hodder’s other roles include starring as vengeful spirit Victor Crowley in 2006 slasher film Hatchet and its sequels, and playing Leatherface during the stunts of Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III.
Best known for her lead role in the Ginger Snaps werewolf movie trilogy and for playing Margot Verger in TV thriller Hannibal, modern day scream queen Katharine Isabelle has a host of horror titles to her name including the Soska sisters’ American Mary and See No Evil 2; 30 Days of Night: Dark Days; 13 Eerie; Freddy vs. Jason; Torment and Snoop Dogg vehicle Bones. Meanwhile, the Canadian actor’s small screen appearances include Supernatural, Being Human, Goosebumps and The X-Files.
Having already appeared in films such as Meet the Fockers, Girlfight and Suburban Gothic, New York native Ray Santiago made his name with horror fans as Pablo Simon Bolivar in Sam Raimi horror sitcom Ash vs. Evil Dead. Idealistic immigrant Pablo is the loyal sidekick of Bruce Campbell’s iconic Ash Williams; a likeable, good-hearted guy who fights through his (entirely justified!) fear of the living dead to protect his hero Ash. Santiago’s other television credits include My Name Is Earl, Dexter, Touch and 10 Things I Hate About You.
