Doctor Strange & Infinity War actor Benedict Wong heads home for MCM Manchester

Doctor Strange and Avengers: Infinity War star Benedict Wong is heading back to his hometown later this month for MCM Manchester Comic Con, meeting fans on both days of the July show.

Greater Manchester-born Benedict is best known for playing his namesake Wong in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing as the deadpan master of the mystic arts in 2016 superhero movie Doctor Strange and reprising the role in recent blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War.

Beyond the MCU, Benedict Wong has portrayed Kublai Khan in epic Netflix historical drama Marco Polo, Bruce Ng in Ridley Scott’s acclaimed science fiction survival flick The Martian and scientist Lomax in Alex Garland’s 2018 horror film Annihilation. He is also set to appear in upcoming Ang Lee-helmed sci-fi action thriller Gemini Man, which stars Will Smith as an aging assassin pitted against a younger clone of himself.

Other movie roles include Sunshine, Prometheus and Dirty Pretty Things, while Wong’s television appearances include Black Mirror, Top Boy, Electric Dreams and The IT Crowd.
