Anime and videogame actor Jason Liebrecht (Borderlands 3, Attack on Titan) is the latest voice talent to be announced for MCM London, joining fellow VAs Elizabeth Maxwell, Aaron Dismuke, Lindsay Seidel and Ricco Fajardo as a guest at this month’s comic con.
Gamers will know Liebrecht as Mordecai in Gearbox Software’s best-selling Borderlands series, with the ace sniper appearing in Borderlands 2, Tales from the Borderlands and the much-anticipated Borderlands 3. However, the Austin, Texas-based actor is probably most famous for his extensive anime roles, with Liebrecht appearing as the ape-like Beast Titan in Attack on Titan, Champa in Dragon Ball Super, Dabi in My Hero Academia, Syaoran in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, and Yato in Noragami.
Jason’s other TV anime credits include voicing Lavi and the Millennium Earl in D.Gray-man, Rob Lucci in One Piece, Luck Gandor in Baccano!, Finnian in Black Butler and Diamond Kingdom sorcerer Mars in Black Clover. Meanwhile, feature-length anime appearances include Mamoru Hosoda’s acclaimed Wolf Children, Project Itoh adaptation The Empire of Corpses, Production I.G’s Psycho Pass: The Movie and the Kenji Kamiyama-helmed Eden of the East films The King of Eden and Paradise Lost.
