Prepare to loot, shoot and look stunning as publisher 2K Games brings its E3 demo of the hotly-anticipated Borderlands 3 to MCM Manchester Comic Con, along with an awesome competition celebrating 10 years of badass Borderlands cosplay.
MCM Manchester will play host to 20 gameplay stations running the recently unveiled Borderlands 3 demo, giving fans the chance to get hands-on with three of the game’s new Vault Hunters – battle-hardened soldier Moze, gadget-loving hitman Zane and powerful Siren Amara – ahead of its 13 September release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
A mayhem-fuelled adventure set on the galaxy’s edge, Borderlands 3 sees players gunning their way through a crazed cult known as The Children of the Vault, whose leaders – The Calypso Twins – have convinced the bandit clans of the Borderlands that they are gods and saviours. As well as returning to the familiar desert planet of Pandora, players will explore new worlds such as the futuristic cityscapes of Promethea, and the overgrown jungle planet of Eden-6, home to the Jakobs Corporation.
10 Years of Borderlands Cosplay Competition
Comic Con will also feature a qualifying round of 2K Games’ ongoing Borderlands cosplay competition, open to anyone with a new or existing Borderlands-inspired cosplay. Winners of the round will advance to the grand final in October, where an ultimate champion will be crowned as No.1 Borderlands cosplayer …and walk away with the top prize of £5,000! You can register for the Manchester qualifier here.
